Now don't you understand?
That I'm never changing who I am
i thought you were a lifesized paper doll
PROPPED UP IN THE HARDWARE STORE, WATCHING THE PARADE
PROPPED UP IN THE HARDWARE STORE, WATCHING THE PARADE
FULL NAME

AS THEY'RE MARCHING OFF TO WAR, OH THEY'RE MARCHING, OH
HEIGHT
i didn't know what you were made of
THE COLOUR OF YOUR BLOOD OR WHAT YOU'RE AFRAID OF
LIKES

AND IF YOU'RE MADE OF CALCIUM I'LL HAVE TO TAKE A TASTE

AND I SURPRISED HER TO LEARN THAT YOU REALLY ARE MX MISSILE PROOF

It’s been a weird couple of months. Ever since Falisity had been mugged, Liam felt she had been acting differently. Of course, he could understand paranoia and terror, but she seemed to disappear a lot, now. And call him suspicious but Liam felt his love was keeping secrets from him. It was slowly building a gap in their relationship, but it was still at this point a gap he could look over and today Liam was hoping to fill that gap... with a ring.
He's arranged a date, making it out to be purely typical in the texts and calls with his love. They were going to go to Arby's - nothing overly special. But the way he'd planned things, on the way to Arby's Liam was going to pull away and head in another direction - towards a five-star restaurant. He had to make a reservation about three months ago, but it would be worth it. This was before the mugging and before she began growing more distant, though, but he figured if he could love her then, he could wait things out until she fully recovered, mentally, from the attack that had sent her to the hospital with what appeared to be a pair of tiny stab wounds to the neck. She could come to be the fun-loving social butterfly he'd fallen for, again, he was confident. Falisity was a strong, wonderful woman - just the type of girl for a guy like Liam. The type he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. First, he had to pick her up.
Falisity was still at home, and Liam had just picked up the ring. He was sure to place it in his pocket - a tight squeeze which made him question even more the legitimacy of stories about men pulling rings out of their pockets and proposing - and simply threw the receipt in the trash the first chance he got, not wanting to chance Falisity seeing it. He logically knew, after all, she would say yes. He knew she loved him. Whether that helped his nerves or not - and it didn't - was a separate deal altogether, but logic and reason told him she'd say yes, so he had nothing to worry about - no reason to return the ring. Besides, even if she did say no, he was a pretty wealthy guy, expecting more money to come in having just bought a large share of his father's company. He had nothing to worry about, financially. The only worry he had was whether the food would be good enough... and whether he'd actually work up the nerve to ask without stuttering over his words.
After what seemed like an eternal car-ride, Liam finally pulled up to her house, gently but firmly knocking on the door, a smile on his face and love in his eyes.
