Dawn was born in Chicago, IL in 1987. She was born and raised there, until her parents decided to move when she was in her senior year of high school. Dawn was devastated by this, because she couldn’t graduate with her class, and all of her friends. When she was younger all she wanted to be was a doctor like her mother. Every minute of her life was dedicated to getting the best grades she could get and being accepted into Harvard or Princeton, or possibly even Yale. Her parents were proud to see that their little girl focused so hard on becoming what she wanted and not what other people wanted. As Dawn got older and became more aware of her surroundings, she began falling into step with other kids. Her grades lowered slightly and she was always out with her friends. When the time came and she realized she wasn’t getting into her dream school, she settled for other universities.

When her parents informed her that they were moving to California she started looking for colleges with good academics in her field. She chose to go to UCLA. After graduating, Dawn returned to Chicago, to reunite with her friends for the summer. During this time, they had raised enough money to go to Ireland. The group had a blast and Dawn had finally lost herself to the boy she’d always had a crush on. However, the aftermath wasn’t what she’d expected. The boy had simply used her to sleep with her and dumped her after their “special night”. This left a hole in Dawn’s heart and for a while she didn’t trust people. Upon returning home, Dawn had decided to change her major from becoming a doctor, to becoming a biology teacher.

For six years, she worked hard on her studies, never once turning her memories to that night in Ireland. She went straight for her bachelor degree in teaching. After her college graduation, she began looking for places to work. High schools were her best shot since she was closer to their age group and because she was teaching biology. After a few months of searching, Dawn received a phone call from North Side high School, informing her that they were indeed hiring teachers for her field. Dawn went in for her interviewed and nailed the job. Now she’s going into her second year of teaching at this school. She’s single and living in a four bedroom two story home.

Dawn is a sweet, kind and caring person. At times it may seem as though she’ naïve, but truthfully she chooses what she sees and hears. It’s out of character for her to pry into other people’s personal lives, or even gossip and spread rumors. She does know how to defend herself when she needs to, but she tends to try to stray from any sort of violence. As a teacher, she tries to be as civil as she possibly can be. She loves her job and the ability to help students that need it.
