Jani Kent

There’s nothing fun to do in this damn town!
Jani groaned as she rolled over in her bed for the fifth time that afternoon. There really wasn’t much to do in the town. Well, there was plenty to do, just nothing that interested Jani. All she wanted to do was hanging out with the love of her life, but that wasn’t going to happen, not today at least. He was spending time with his girlfriend. She rolled her eyes at the thought of the two of them together. Why was he even dating her? Clearly if he was still into Jani then they should be together, not that girl he’s with now. Jani didn’t like her, and she made that as clear as daylight. She wasn’t jealous that they were exclusive, she didn’t like it, but behind closed doors he was hers, no one else mattered.
Finally tired of sulking in her thoughts of the couple, she rolled out of bed and into her closet. Why should she be stuck in the house at this time of day? She was Jani Kent; she could practically have whoever she wanted if she tried. Well, anyone who was interested. She was confident, that she could get whoever she aimed for, but of course it would on occasions backfire on her and well, she’d take her failure as encouragement. Why? Because that’s who she was. If she didn’t get what she wanted, she just moved onto the next, unfazed.
After a nice long shower she considered places to go. The mall was getting boring, and she didn’t care for too many other places. Her mind roamed to a nice coffee, and she thought of the café. No, it wasn’t the hotspot to go when looking for a little fun, but she wanted coffee, and that was the best place to get some. Jani went through her usual routine of getting ready and left for the café.
Jani pulled into the parking lot of the café and noticed it wasn’t too crowded, which wasn’t all that great. It just meant less people that she’d run into, which in turn meant not much fun to follow. She headed inside and straight for the register, she ordered her usual caramel frappuccino and sat at one of the window tables. Today, might just be a bust for her.
